ArtsWave, the non-profit arts funding organization, wanted to relocate to Cincinnati’s historic Over-the-Rhine neighborhood and its burgeoning arts scene. Along with a new home, ArtsWave also wanted a new way of working, one that encouraged creativity and collaboration.
The early twentieth century, former industrial building ArtsWave chose, lends itself well to an open working environment. Rows of large windows bring light deep into the building while the open floor plate provides flexibility in the arrangement of spaces. Work stations are open. Movable panels and glazed partitions allow conference and meeting areas to expand into other spaces and serve a variety of functions. The shared ground floor lobby doubles as an art gallery showcasing local talent.
