Michael is glaserwork’s managing principal overseeing the day to day operations of the firm. His passion for organization and management extends to the successful execution of large, complex building projects. Michael believes in collaborative design solutions achieved through an open and communicative process from design through construction. This belief serves him well in the coordination of large teams comprising multi-divisional owners, design consultants, users, community organizations and construction managers, totaling as many as twenty-five individual offices and groups. He has an established record of projects completed on time and on budget.
Michael has extensive experience with universities including the University of Cincinnati, Miami University and the University of Virginia. Among his recent projects are the Open Space and Student Life Center at the University of Cincinnati’s MainStreet, a public way at the heart of the campus connecting the Student Life, Recreation and University centers. Here Michael spent over two years on campus as the design team’s on-site representative, coordinating construction of multiple projects with university staff and construction managers. Currently Michael oversees construction of the University of Virginia’s new 114,000 square feet, $65 million building for the College of Arts and Science.
Local clients with whom Michael is proud to work include the Playhouse in the Park, the Cincinnati Zoo, Cincinnati Public Schools, Findlay Market, Music Hall and the Cincinnati Recreation Commission.
Outside the office Michael devotes his time to various boards and committees, his children’s school and to his wife and three children.
